Urszula Antoniak to Cinefondation Atelier
Second feature film project CODE BLUE by Urszula Antoniak selected for the Cinefondation Atelier at Cannes
The Cannes Film Festival has announced the participants in this year's Atelier of the Cinefondation. The workshop, created in 2005 to assist directors with financing and completing their projects, will see producers and directors meet with film industry professionals at the festival in May.
Urszula Antoniak's second feature film project CODE BLUE is selected for the sixth edition, in total 15 projects from 15 different countries are selected. CODE BLUE is a co-production produced by IDTV Film, expected release 2011. CODE BLUE is a psychological thriller about Marian, who is barely capable of making (intimate) contact with other people. Her increasingly desperate efforts to this, finally push her to the extreme.
NOTHING PERSONAL was Urszula Antoniak's debut film and was honored with many awards. Six awards at the 62nd Locarno Film Festival, including the Leopard for Best First Feature and the FIPRESCI Prize. Lotte Verbeek was awarded the Leopard for Best Actress. NOTHING PERSONAL also won the Silver Giraldillo at the Seville Film Festival in Spain and four Golden Calves at the Netherlands Film Festival Utrecht, including a Golden Calf for Best Feature Film and a Golden Calf nomination for Lotte Verbeek for Best Actress.
NOTHING PERSONAL is doing extremely well in the Dutch arthouse cinema. With over 60.000 admissions sold so far it is one of the best attended films in the Dutch arthouse cinema for the last years.
