CO-PROD COLIVIA/THE CAGE WINS DAAD SHORT FILM AWARD AT 60TH BERLINALE

Romanian director Adrian Sitaru has won the DAAD Short Film Award at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival. A prize that is awarded to the most artistically distinctive avant-garde film. COLIVIA / THE CAGE was selected and nominated for a Golden Bear in the competition this year.
Director Sitaru will use the prize, which comes with a three-months scholarship for the director and financial support for a new project, to further develop his feature entitled DOMESTIC.

The short COLIVIA / THE CAGE is a co-production between the Romanian 4Proof Film and Kaliber Film from the Netherlands. The film is part of the feature film DOMESTIC which is currently in development.

COLIVIA / THE CAGE is a short film about the relationship between a father and his son. When Mihaes's little boy brings home a sick dove this raises new conflicts between them, but also a possible reconciliation.
