The Last Days of Emma Blank by Alex van Warmerdam awarded with the Label Europa Cinemas prize at Venice Days
The Dutch feature film The Last Days of Emma Blank by Alex van Warmerdam wins the prestigious "Label Europa Cinemas" Award for the promotion of cinema in Europe.
The prize was established by the European réseau network of quality traders, with support from the EU MEDIA program. The prize, set up in 2003, provides economic contributions to distribute and sustain films in cinemas for a considerable period. The winner of the Label also receives a prize from Technicolor consisting in a minimum of five copies of the film printed for free for the Italian distribution.
Alex van Warmerdam, who already left the Film Festival, returns to Venice today. Together with actress Eva van Wijdeven, they will receive the prize personally.
