Fuchsia The Mini Witch Golden Film

Dutch feature film FUCHSIA THE MINI WITCH, directed by Johan Nijenhuis, has reached the status of Golden Film for more than 100.000 tickets sold after its theatrical release in The Netherlands on October 6, 2010. The film won two awards at the 24th Cinekid Film Festival, the Z@PP Cinekid Lion Audience Prize, and the Best Dutch Children’s Film Audience Prize.

The Golden/Platinum/Diamond Film Award is an initiative presented by the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund since 2001. The prize is intended to encourage the Dutch film industry and motivate the general public to go and see Dutch films. The total number of tickets sold after a film's release determines whether a prize is awarded.

FUCHSIA THE MINI WITCH is produced by NL Film & TV and is based on the novel by Paul van Loon. The film is distributed in The Netherlands by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Netherlands.
