Golden Film for Spangas
Spangas On Survival by Diede in 't Veld has been awarded a Golden Film. Within two weeks after the theatrical release, dated September 30, 2009, more than 100.000 visitors have seen the film.
The Golden Film is an initiative presented by the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund since 2001. The prizes are intended to encourage the Dutch film industry and motivate the general public to go and see Dutch films. The total number of tickets sold after a film's release determines whether a prize is awarded. The Golden Films are awarded to Dutch full length feature-films and is handed out when a film has drawn in more than 100.000 visitors.
Nostalgia, love, quarrels and adventure: in Spangas on survival the pupils of the 'SpangaliS'-college are spending an active survival week in the Ardennes.
