Hollywood in 52 games
EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY - HOLLYWOOD IN 52 GAMES
Dutch producer / director Ate de Jong will write a book about party games and Hollywood. An unusual combination!
Ate de Jong: ‘Life in Hollywood is no different from life in rural France, suburban London or snowy Alaska. Hollywood stars have children and they want to play games, with their parents.’
De Jong resided in Hollywood for almost a decade. He directed, amongst others, MIAMI VICE and DROP DEAD FRED. During this period he designed dozens of party games for his four children.
Publisher Maarten Richel: ‘Ate’s games are highly original, funny and easy to play with props you can find in any normal household. Additionally there is a great story attached to each game about such luminaries as Marlon Brando, Michael Jackson, Meryl Streep, Don Johnson, Catherine Deneuve. The other side of the Hollywood coin is also revealed; the unemployed actresses, the illegal South American cleaning ladies, the Hollywood criminals and the flea markets.’
EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY will be in bookstores just after the summer holidays.
Ate de Jong: ‘There’ll be at least 52 games. One for each week.’
