Winners of Go Short

The Dutch short films KISS by Joost van Ginkel, RE-CONSTRUCTIONS by Martijn Veldhoen both received awards during the Go Short International Short Film Festival in Nijmegen.

For the second time director Joost van Ginkel became the winner of the Go Short Award for Best Dutch Short Film. In 2008 he won the award for his film SAND. Two years later KISS is awarded and selected for the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, April 21 – May 2, 2010.

The Go Short jury (Katharina Liebert, Sol Bondy, Martijn Te Pas, Marina Blok, Martijn van Boven and Mihai Mitrica) commented on KISS: "A theme of war told in a stylized and highly intimate setting."

Veldhoen’s RE-CONSTRUCTIONS became the winner of the NPS / Go Short Award for Best European Short Film in the category The Labo. The jury comment: "A poetic loop with a certain sense of black humor."
