Wistful Wilderness Best documentary

Dutch documentary WISTFUL WILDERNES, directed by Digna Sinke, was awarded Best Documentary at the prestigieus 28th Festival International du Film d'Environment in Paris.
The prize contained E 5.000,-.

The film is produced by SNG Film, with support of the Dutch Film Fund, Dutch Fund for Cultural Mediaproductions, the Co-productionfund Dutch Broadcasting and NRT Television. Distribution of the film in The Netherlands is done by Mokum Filmdistribution.

Digna Sinke follows the changes in the landscape of the Dutch island Tiengemeten, over a period of 13 years, while also looking back at the changes in her own life. The island Tiengementen was reclaimed from the sea and cultivated. In the 1990s it was abandoned in order to let nature be. The signifying themes of the film are temporality and transitoriness.
